It is often said that the true test of an organisation is how it reacts in a crisis. Printers CGI proved their worth by maintaining DEFRA’s reputation for responding swiftly to potential emergencies. By the time the Foot and Mouth outbreak in Surrey had been confirmed on Friday 3rd August, DEFRA had already written comprehensive information booklets and Communisis, the print management specialists retained by DEFRA, had put CGI on standby for a possible overnight print contract. Despite a heavy workload, CGI were able to commit the resources to meet the contract’s very tight deadline.
